The more you stick to the rules in life, the less life works. The inflexibility of a person stuck with the rules is a classic in an organization that is going under as in a relationship which is not working (Smothermon, 1982).

As a leader or a member of an organization, flexibility must be inculcated in us. When an organization is struggling, we should not only know how to determine what to do or to get ideas in a different perspective but also be able to execute them. We should also know how to be flexible enough in meeting the end goal. We should be able to work well with others, being into a transforming leader that can nurture the relationship being formed whilst getting to the end goal.

If we act on our commitments and our vision, we will have the capacity of producing flexibility and satisfaction in spite of the circumstances – and perhaps one day a world that works for everyone (Selman, 2007). In this life that we live, it can be said that every vision that we have is rooted in making this world a better place. We people usually desire good things. However, it takes time to get to the end goal, there are a lot of twists and turns that may happen along the way. But, developing a character of being flexible will help us get to the end goal a better and learned person.

Andre Gide once said, you cannot discover new oceans unless you have the courage to lose sight of the shore. Relationships tend to get messy and complicated. There are even times when we tend to replace the relationship with another one. Oddly enough, the way out is not to find a new relationship, but to have the courage to move up the integrity scale instead of down (Smothermon, 1982).

One of the things that a leader should have is courage. It is a non-negotiable in leading people. Many times, as people head their way to transformation, they experience struggles that are meant for their growth. Acknowledging their finite nature is important. By having the courage to identify and face the causes of struggle in your life, you grant yourself the power to transcend (Wilde, 1987).

Transformation is transcending from your former self. It is going beyond you. It is going beyond what you have in mind. To do this you must transcend your beliefs about the way you think things are accomplished and see how things really work.

Courage is choosing to go on when everything seems to be difficult. Choose to go on. This is not to prove yourself to others, but this is to choose to unleash your full potential.
