Being part of a team brings to us a fuller picture of the purposes of the Lord, compared to being a loner prophet, wherein you only get to see your perspective and your visions. Here’s an interesting point, in Amos 3:7, the Bible said the Lord does nothing without first revealing it to His servants, the prophets. It’s in plural form. The Lord was speaking to Amos about revealing His plan not just to one prophet, but to a number of prophets—to a team of prophets. God never reveals His whole plan to one man alone. Even the Apostle Paul told us, “we prophesy in part” (1 Cor. 13:9). It really doesn’t matter if you’re the most gifted prophet you know; you will only get a piece of the revelation pie.
Two is always better than one. What is better than a prophet in church? A group of prophets in church. Two people are better than one because they can help each other succeed (Ecc. 4:9).
