“Do it NOW!” can affect every phase of your life. It can help you do the things you should do, but don’t feel like doing. It can keep you from procrastinating when an unpleasant duty faces you. But it can also help you do those things that you want to do. It helps you seize those precious moments that, if lost, may never be retrieved.

– Napoleon Hill

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Jeremiah 29:11

Decide to be Master Mind

Napoleon Hill tells us that everything starts with an idea. However, an idea cannot get you anywhere if you do not have the intention to. People who are in the condition of slave mentality will receive ideas, but it will be irrelevant if they do not do anything about it.

You need to have a goal. Moving into a Mind Mastery condition is a goal in itself. Once you have set a specific goal in mind, you must meditate on it and envision everything in alignment with it. You cannot set a goal and expect yourself to fail, because you will fail if you do that.

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable. So I do not run aimlessly; I do not box as one beating the air. But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.

1 Corinthians 9: 24-27

Mastery of the mind increases with each step you take toward that goal. Slavery of the mind is when you stop and fall back because you were affected by whatever condition or obstacle you face. It will begin to appear step by step. When you see the signs this goal is happening in your reality, know that it is up to you to draw it closer to you and your life. You may have multiple goals you want to achieve. You need to make a list and include what you think would help you achieve them.

The primary goal is to maintain a heightened awareness of how our thoughts produce a connection with God. Our thoughts and our goals keep that connection alive.

A person with a Slave Mind will live a life of little direction if we do not purposefully define our goals. Life may pass by one day at a time and you may not even realize that it is gone. He will not do anything to change or better his circumstance; to the very least he will complain, hoping that this will make things better. The person with a Slave Mind will simply be a victim of wasted time.

Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.
