In Ezekiel 37, the prophet declared the prophetic destiny, “I will place you in your own land.” Below, we read how the word of the Lord has come full circle.
Therefore, prophesy and say to them: ‘This is
what the Sovereign Lord says: My people, I am
going to open your graves and bring you up from
them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel.
Then you, my people, will know that I am the
Lord, when I open your graves and bring you up
from them. I will put my Spirit in you and you
will live, and I will settle you in your own land.
Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken,
and I have done it, declares the Lord.’” (Ezekiel
37:12–14)
Imagine if the prophet stopped pressing forward with prophetic declarations. What if he got discouraged by the spiritual warfare or the lack of hope? In the church, we hear God, we prophesy, however, when things don’t turn out as we thought, we give up and end up falling short of a few declarations away from reaching the fulfillment of our prophetic destinies.
We tend to be impatient. When we do not see the Word of the Lord manifesting and getting fulfilled, we simply give up and turn to our own resources to “make things happen.” Ezekiel prophesied at the fourth level. He opened up a conversation about the resurrection power. He released life into the graves through the power of declaration, and graves were opened up and people were brought back into their own land.
How did the prophetic declaration end? Ezekiel declared, “Then you will know that I the Lord have spoken, and I have done it, declares the Lord” (Eze. 37:14). It is one thing to receive a promise in your life that you know God gave. However, it’s another thing for a promise to be fulfilled in your life—for God’s glory. In Ezekiel 37, we see the progression of a prophetic word. We see four levels of agreements in the prophetic word that were necessary for the fulfillment of God’s Word.Prophetic people are not people who faint easily. We cannot fall back at the sight of danger or in the face of dryness. Discouragement has no place in a prophetic culture.
If we choose to keep moving forward through the different levels of prophecy, then God will perform His will and bring about the prophetic fulfillment. There will be different seasons, but keep in mind that each season is temporary. You are expected to move up to the next level. Partner with the Lord and participate in what He is doing in your church and in your life.
