But be ye doers of the word , and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

Looking at this story, we begin to see something here about everyday life. The key to becoming wealthy is not only having the ability to get money, but more so, what you do you with the wealth after you get it?

What are you creating so that it can make more? When you start to look at it, you always see others advancing. Yet, your mind is great, and abundantly full of ideas. Unfortunately instead of using the great mind to reap a harvest, often our minds create the greatest amount of waste. After reading the 2000’s version of The Parable of the Talents, which category do you see yourself best fitting in?

Are you on the category of the one with the five talents, the two, or the one talent? This is not about racial profiles, but rather how you spend your time and what you choose to do with your money. Are you going to be in the category where you are generating something for your future, creating your own realities, owning your own homes, getting into real estate, and owning property? What is your worth? What is your net worth? What are you valued at? What future are you making for yourself? Only as you begin to determine your future, will you change your outcome.

. . .for the children of this world are in their generation wiser than the children of light.

Luke 16:8
