The prophetic ministry is about delivering the message that encapsulates God’s mind and heart to edify, to encourage, and to exhort both believers and unbelievers for three main purposes, which is to strengthen, to encourage, and to comfort. Anything that does not do that goes against the heart of the prophetic ministry. In other words, if your prophetic word is discouraging, offending, and scaring people, then you must ask the Holy Spirit to help you turn this around.

Anyone who speaks in a language they had not known before doesn’t speak to people. They speak only to God. In fact, no one understands them. What they say by the Spirit remains a mystery. But the person who prophesies speaks to people. That person prophesies to make people stronger, to give them hope, and to comfort them. Anyone who speaks in other languages builds up only themselves. But the person who prophesies builds up the church. (1 Corinthians 14:2-4)

God uses the prophetic ministry to bring clarity to the fact that He is sovereign, and He knows us intimately, personally, and passionately. A prophetic word gives this experience to people. Hidden things that you have not known before are announced so that people can know Jesus (Isa. 48:6).

The prophet represents Jesus. Through the prophet, people are reminded or are introduced to the grace of God. Like all ministries, prophets must view themselves as stewards of the grace of the Lord. They should impart faith, hope, and love to those they meet.

Experience the Power of Prophecy as a gift to open your mind to receive the Mind of Christ.
