If we believed a lie, then we need an encounter with the truth. We need to know God’s love for us. Even when we have been rejected by people in authority, we need to go back to the ultimate authority in our lives—God. Meditate on the Father’s love and acceptance in the Bible.
Step out in your gift again Step out in faith. You may have been hurt before. But this is not about you. It’s not about your prestige or pride. It’s about the ministry Jesus has for you. It’s about your purpose in the Lord. It’s God’s role to equip you and to promote you. You just have to obey.
When you step out in faith in obedience, you need to be accountable, and submit to the authority in the prophetic ministry. This move may sometimes mean that you may need to submit to leaders who have hurt you in the past.
A test to know if we are truly healed and forgiven is when we can receive feedback from these people and be open to adjustment in the operation of our gift, without having a negative attitude about it. Thus, becoming activated in our gift of prophecy again will mean taking risks and being vulnerable. Nevertheless, we must remember that doing so allows us to bear fruit in our lives and in the lives of others we minister to will be eternal.
