The Beginning Stage
We receive the Spirit of God when we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Remember, it is because of Christ’s work on the cross that we become a worthy vessel for the Holy Spirit. Without the cleansing work of Jesus, the Holy Spirit cannot reside in us. Spiritual gifts are then imparted to us at our new birth in Christ (1 Pt. 4:10).
