In Philippians 4:19, we read Paul writing to the church in Philippi about how his God shall supply all their need, according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Paul was writing to believers, and he was telling them that we must not be dependent upon the world to supply our needs. Even if the country enters into recession, we don’t have to experience the same. The God we serve is our Source of supply. He is mighty to nourish, supply, and satisfy our needs. Thus, your job or business is not your source, even though God commands us to work. Your spouse, parents, and even the government is not your source. Only God can claim this role.

God’s economy is always stable. God is always in control. Human beings can access God’s economy by faith. If we don’t allow fear about our current circumstances to dictate our actions — such as the choice to withhold the tithe and offering — then we would realize that God actually promises us provision. He has a lot to say about how He can take care of our finances. Believe His Word.

The Bible also said that God supplies all your need, not some, not even 90%, where you need to come up with the 10% for your tithes. God is the One who supplies all your need — even your need to tithe and to give your offering. God is not limited to where you live in the world or the size you need. He committed Himself to supplying all your need. Do not limit Him. Believe Him for a total breakthrough. If you have a need, believe that God is the Supplier to bring provision for the need.

Your needs are provided according to His riches. We do not live by the riches of your personal bank account, your family, your nation, or the world. Believers live according to the riches of God. God is rich, because He invented rich. He is wealthy beyond what any person can comprehend. The beautiful reward for obedience is this:

12 The Lord will open for you his rich storehouse, the heavens, to give the rain of your land in its season and to bless all your undertakings. You will lend to many nations, but you will not borrow. (Deuteronomy 28:12)

In God’s storehouse there is an abundance of supply. It’s unlimited. As a believer, you have the right to access God’s storehouses. Faith is the key. You receive the key from God by faith. Feed your faith with His promises from the Bible.

8 This book of the law shall not depart out of your mouth; you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to act in accordance with all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall be successful. (Joshua 1:8)

The person who meditates and studies the Word of God day and night will be prosperous and successful, because staying in the Word of God builds faith and it allows them to tap into a piece of heaven.

There are many truths from the Word of God that are stirring from your heart. Do not delay in acting. If you are uncertain of God’s will for your finances, then go back to God’s Word. What should you do? What are you not doing? Increase your vision and expectancy by feeding your faith with words that are directly from the Holy Spirit. Once you know God’s commands regarding money and God’s rewards for obedience about money, then all you need to do is act.

If God provides for the believer who works in the secular industry, won’t He provide for those who are directly working on advancing His Kingdom? Would God forsake those who have chosen fulltime ministry? It does not align with His nature if He is declaring provision for believers, yet neglects His ministers. God’s ministers have a great reward on heaven and on earth for adhering to the call of ministry.
